Well, starting this week, you get the chance to witness it every Thursday live on Mixer. I’ve been kicking around this idea for a little while now and it’s time to try it out! So, what is the Thursday Challenge Stream? To put it simply, I want the community to present me with a challenge that I will attempt to complete in a 4-5 hour stream. We’ll discuss the implications of winning or losing the challenge every week at a later time, but for now, you get to witness me trying my best to overcome whatever challenge you set in front of me. And there really isn’t a limit to what that challenge can be (except Fortnite). You could say “play Overwatch but you can only play as Widowmaker and you can’t respond to toxicity”. You could challenge me to play Sekiro every week until I beat it. I could go head to head against another Mixer streamer and whoever gets the most kills in Apex by the end of the night wins. Anything is possible (except I absolutely will not play Fortnite, so do not ask).
Since this week is the inaugural edition, I’m going to present you with three options for this week’s challenge that you can vote for on Twitter:
Win a game of Tetris 99 (the Tetris battle royale for Nintendo Switch)
Earlier this year, I declared war on the entire Eastern hemisphere and promised I would not play another video game until I won a game of Tetris 99. After a MONTH of playing the game for 3-4 hours every single day, I admitted defeat. So you may say “what makes you think you can get a win in 4-5 hours”? Well, they added a ton of new content to the game, like a queue made only for players who have won a game. So maybe, just maybe, all the good players will be there I have a chance? Either way, you are guaranteed to see some rage-inducing moments.
Play Getting Over It without breaking your mouse
This game took the streaming and YouTube world by storm in 2017, and I completely missed the hype. It is one of the most punishingly difficult games ever created. I mean, watch the video. Do I even need to say anything more about this game? Even the big boys like Shroud, Tfue, and Pewdepie attempted this game and lost it multiple times. It may look stupid and simple, but trust me when I say that not breaking my mouse will be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my entire life.
Bendy and the Ink Machine (very scary)
Maybe seeing someone rage over a video game isn’t your style? Maybe you want to see them literally shit their pants live on camera? That’s what this game will do. For those who haven’t heard of this game before, it is supposed to be absolutely terrifying. I’ve never played it, I’ve never seen gameplay, and it’s only like 4-5 hours long according to HowLongtoBeat.com. So, who wants to see me cry like a little girl?
This is just the first stream of the weekly series and I absolutely cannot wait to see what happens. Don’t worry if your vote doesn’t get picked; I will probably be doing all three of these challenges eventually. In the future, I will ask Twitter what games/challenges they would like to see me do and I’ve already got some ideas for IRL elements to add. Also, we reached our goal of hitting 100 followers and 1000 views on Mixer so like I’ve promised, I will be doing a $100 giveaway at some point on Thursday’s stream.
